A very common sport, resembling græco-roman wrestling. All men except cripples do a bit of wrestling at some time, but usually without any formal training. Prowess at wrestling is considered to depend mostly on strength, but professionals and good amateurs also have a lot of technique. Wrestling is a very common exercise in the gymnasium, and there are prize fights, and professionals who make a living by challenging all comers.

Professional and keen amateur wrestlers wear their hair short, so that their opponents cannot get a hold on it. Others usually tie their hair up before entering a bout.
