Widow

A widow who has borne a child by her late husband remains in his family after his death. If she wishes to remarry, her husband’s heir must give her new husband a [[[dowry]] as large as the one she brought to her marriage, but her children remain in his house, and do not go to hers, and any gifts her husband gave her other than personal effects are left behind. A widow who has not borne such a child is returned to her father or his heir with her dowry, but without any gifts which her husband gave her other than personal trinkets.
