The Dreamer Whose Dreams Come True

A feature of the World of Dreams often encountered by dreamers, but less common in spontaneous dreaming. The Dreamer Whose Dreams Come True appears a sleeping male figure slumped on a carved marble throne. He is of the same race as whoever dreams of him, and if of a mortal race, appears extremely aged. His hair is extremely long and unkempt (as is his beard if he appears to be of a bearded race), and is confined by a circlet of silver and diamonds. Nothing yet attempted has succeeded in waking him.

Scholars are uncertain of the significance of the Dreamer Whose Dreams Come True. Some have speculated that his dreams constitute the World of Isles. Others, aware that the significance of a sleeping figure in the World of Dreams is often a powerful figure in the World of Isles, have attempted to identify the dreamer with something in the real world. Some philosophers believe that the Dreamer Whose Dreams Come True created the universe and has been asleep since.
