Selēnē

The daimon of the Moon. Selēnē figures in myth as a being of quintessential feminity, after whom Pontus longs in vain.

A wise and subtle daimon and elemental, Selēnē is associated with the oneiroi Acanthe (especially at new moon), Coppelia, and Lena (especially at full moon). In some stories she assists avatars of Persiflex or Amaranth. The cult of Selēnē as protector of women is important in some parts, such as Ramastaarn.
