Lokhagos

A military officer, roughly equivalent to a captain, commanding a lokhos with the assistance of a hypolokagos. He appoints his hypolokagos and non-commissioned officers, and thus has some minor patronage to dispense. A lokagos ought to be an experienced soldier, but considerations of patronage often dictate his appointment. The pay of a company commander is four obols per day, plus possible pay for panoply.
