Limestone

A soft sedimentary rock, formed from shells, coral, and calcareous ooze. Easily worked, but incapable of holding an edge, limestone is common in Gehennum, and is used extensively in building. Most is white or creamy, but pastel grey, blue, green, and pink are not unknown. Limestone is also used in making lime and cement for mortar and concrete, and as a flux in smelting iron.
