The daimon of the Sun. Helios figures in mythology as the creator of fire, from whom it was stolen for mankind by Foliat. A powerful daimon and fire-elemental with an imperious manner and inflexible constancy of will, Helios is an anarkh, and does not attend the court of empress Gaia. In some ancient myths Helios appears as father-creator, first lover of Gaia, and father by her of many daimons. Helios is worshipped as pancreator under several names by a few different mystery religions.
