A dreamer is a person who has learned the mystic discipline called dreaming, or specifically one who prctises it professionally.

Other folk consult dreamers for a number of reasons. Dreamers treat emotional and psychological problems by discovering and exposing repressed memories and desires, and help their patients to have cathartic experiences in dreams. They enable patients to re-experience recent dreams to recover forgotten detail, and can often unravel the meaning of portentous and otherwise important dreams. Sometimes they can communicate with comatose and delirious patients.

A small few dreamers work as entertainers, allowing their patrons to enjoy in lucid dream pleasures which are not available in waking life. Many other dreamers disapprove of this dream-weaving, particularly if the dream-weaver allows his customers to enjoy illicit pleasures, which powerful dreamers consider dangerous or very dangerous.
