Allied state

In the Theklan hegemony, a free and co-operative member of the hegemony. Allied states pay no tribute to Thekla, but are often asked to bring their armies and fleets to the assistance of the hegemonial forces on campaign, their obligation to do so being specified by treaty. Allied states which turn against Thekla, aid its enemies, or default on their treaty obligations, are liable to conquest and reduction to the status of subject state.
